June 10: Woodstock PrideFest

June 10 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

It’s the annual Gay Pride Fest in the central square of Woodstock, and it’s always huge (and it’s going to be even bigger this year, given the ongoing attacks on LGBT+ people.)  And it’s always really, really fun, interesting and informative.  And if anything illustrates the truth of adage, “an attack on one of us, is an attack on all of us,” it’s the hysteria now being whipped up by Republican politicans against gay and trans people.

It’s two entire days — Saturday and Sunday June 10th and 11th — and the parade is at 11:00 am on Sunday.  The festival and promenade continues all afternoon up through 5:00 pm.  There are a LOT of events.

Here’s the event on Facebook, here’s the main public Woodstock Pride group on Facebook, and here’s the private Woodstock Pride group on Facebook — join the group to learn more.

McHenry County Citizens for Choice is going to have a booth at the festival, and we are going to be marching in the parade together with McHenry County NOW (the McHenry County chapter of the National Organization for Women.)  We need a big contingent in the parade, and we need volunteers to staff our booth.  Please click here to RSVP and to volunteer!

A glorious late Spring weekend is guaranteed.  See you there !
